All people have the right to higher education, thus working the Student Union in Skovde, together with the Swedish National Union of Students (SFS) to create a flexible College for everyone. In order to promote equal rights for students and applicants both on and to the University and combat discrimination is discrimination law . As a student or applicant to college, you're protected by discrimination law. The law's purpose is to eliminate discrimination based on sex, cross-gender identity or expression, ethnicity, religion or belief, sexual orientation, disabilities and age.

 University of Skövde has established an action plan for equal treatment containing promotion measures to be taken in 2009. It aims to prevent the occurrence of discrimination and harassment.

The Student Union of Skövde is represented by the Diversity Group, which includes the Student Union are working together with the University to improve and ensure diversity at the University of Skövde.
 
In this study, the Social Affairs Committee (SU) is working with the Student Union diversity issues within the Student Union.
